1. Lubrication of hinges and latches.

Check all hinges and latches, and if they require lubrication, clean them first and apply a general purpose lubricant.

2. During winter operation:
  • a) If the wiper blades are frozen to the windshield or rear window (station wagon models), do not operate the wiper until the ice melts and the blades are free. Otherwise, the wiper motor may be damaged.
  • b) To prevent the seals on the doors, hood, etc. from freezing, they should be lubricated with silicone grease.
  • c) The slot air intake openings located in front of the windshield should be cleared of snow with a brush after heavy snowfall to prevent disruption of the normal operation of the heating and ventilation system.

3. Check the travel of the parking brake lever.

4. Check the free travel of the brake pedal.

6. Check the steering wheel play.

7. Check the operation of control and measuring instruments and indicators.

8. Check the operation of external and internal lighting devices and the sound signal.

9. Check the condition of the cooling system hoses, CVT/AT cooler hoses, power steering hydraulic system hoses, and brake hydraulic system hoses.

10. Check the condition of the exhaust system (no burnout or damage).

11. Check for leaks of working fluids and oils in the engine compartment and under the vehicle.

12. Check the thickness of the brake shoe linings.

13. Checking and maintenance when operating in difficult road conditions.

a) Check the protective boots, dust boots, protective covers and breather hose for cracks or damage and replace them if necessary.

b) Apply grease to the lubrication points of the front suspension, rear suspension, steering control arms and rods and propeller shafts.

c) Check for water, dirt, sand, etc. in the rear brake drums, master cylinder, clutch housing, starter, brake and fuel lines.

d) (4WD models) Check for water in the rear differential housing and transfer case oil.

14. Car care.

a) Some cleaning materials may be flammable and dangerous to inhale. Therefore, follow the instructions supplied with the materials and keep all windows and doors open when cleaning the inside of the vehicle.

b) To avoid damaging the vehicle, never use the following for cleaning: gasoline, turpentine, benzene, acetone, varnish or paint thinners/solvents, kerosene, nail polish remover, carbon tetrachloride.

c) To avoid damage to plastic parts and other vehicle components when using a high pressure washer or steam cleaning equipment:
  • - the distance from the installation nozzle to the car must be at least 400 mm (for body sections near door windows at least 500 mm strictly perpendicular to the glass surface);
  • - jet pressure no more than 4 MPa;
  • - jet temperature no more than 82°C;
  • - the time of exposure of the jet to one point is up to 30 seconds.
