Check all hinges and latches, and if they require lubrication, pre-clean them and apply multipurpose grease.
2. During winter operation:
- A) If the wiper blades are frozen to the windshield or rear (station wagon models) glass, do not operate this wiper until the ice has melted and the blades are free. Otherwise, the wiper motor may be damaged.
- b) To prevent freezing of seals on doors, hood, etc. they should be lubricated with silicone grease.
- V) Slotted air intakes located in front of the windshield should be brushed off after a heavy snowfall to prevent the heating and ventilation system from malfunctioning.
3. Check the travel of the parking brake lever.
4. Check the free travel of the brake pedal.
6. Check steering wheel play.
7. Check the operation of instrumentation and indicators.
8. Check the operation of external and internal lighting devices, sound signal.
9. Check the condition of the cooling system hoses, CVT/AT cooler hoses, power steering hydraulic hoses, brake hydraulic hoses.
10. Check the condition of the exhaust system (no burn or damage).
11. Check up absence of leaks of working liquids and oils in an engine compartment and under the car.
12. Check the thickness of the brake pads.
13. Inspection and maintenance when operating in severe road conditions.
A) Check for cracks or damage to the protective covers, dust boots, protective covers and breather hose and replace them if necessary.
b) Apply grease to the lubrication points of the front suspension, rear suspension, steering arms and linkages, and propeller shafts.
V) Check for water, dirt, sand, etc. in rear brake drums, brake master cylinder, clutch housing, starter motor, brake and fuel lines.
G) (4WD Models) Check that there is no water in the oil in the rear differential case and transfer case.
14. Car care.
A) Some cleaning materials can be flammable and dangerous to inhale. Therefore, follow the instructions that come with the materials and keep all windows and doors open when cleaning the car inside.
b) To prevent damage to your vehicle, never use: gasoline, turpentine, benzene, acetone, thinners / thinners for varnish or paint, kerosene, nail polish remover, carbon tetrachloride.
V) To prevent damage to plastics and other vehicle parts when using a pressure washer or steam cleaner:
- - the distance from the installation nozzle to the vehicle must be at least 400 mm (for sections of the body near the glass of the doors at least 500 mm strictly perpendicular to the surface of the glass);
- - jet pressure not more than 4 MPa;
- - jet temperature not more than 82°С;
- - time of impact of a jet on one point to 30 seconds.
