Changing the oil in the rear differential housing (4WD models) (Mitsubishi Lancer 9)

1. Unscrew the drain plug on the differential housing and drain the oil.



2. Tighten the drain plug to the specified torque.

Tightening torque: 59 - 69 Nm

3. Unscrew the filler plug and fill with new oil up to the level of the lower edge of the filler hole (filler plug hole).

Recommended Oil - DiaQueen Super Hypoid Gear Oil

Oil viscosity according to SAE:

• Above 10°C - SAE80W
• Below 10°C - SAE90
• Oil quality according to API - GL-5
• Filling capacity - 0.5 l

4. Tighten the filler plug to the specified torque.
