Installing an additional gear on the intake camshaft (Mitsubishi L200 4)

1. When installing the gear, hold the camshaft with a wrench by the Allen key.



2. Install the pins into the camshaft gear and into the additional gear according to the figure.



3. Install the C-spring into the camshaft gear so that it rests against the pin.



4. Install the additional gear so that its locating pin is within area "A".





5. Install the wave washer and snap ring.

6. Screw two mounting screws (M6x20) into the additional gear. Using a screwdriver, turn the additional gear (clockwise) until the holes (0 8 mm) in the additional gear and M6 in the camshaft gear align.



7. Tighten the set screw (Мб) so that it presses the additional gear against the camshaft gear.



8. Remove the two mounting screws.

9. Snap the retaining ring onto the camshaft journal and remove the set screw.
