Note: When installing, tighten the bolts to the torques shown in the figure.


1. Install the valve spring seat (27).

2. Install the valve stem seal (26).

3. Install the valve spring (25).

4. Install the valve spring plate (24).

5. Install crackers (23).

6. Install the camshaft oil seal (22).

7. Install the camshaft (21).

8. Install the camshaft sprocket (20).

9. Install the camshaft position sensor cylinder (19).

10. Install the camshaft position sensor mounting gasket (18).

11. Install the camshaft position sensor fastener (17).

12. Install the sealing ring (16).

13. Install the camshaft position sensor (15).

14. Connect the camshaft position sensor connector (14).

15. Install the wiring bracket (13).

16. Install the gasket (12).

17. Install the oil pipe (11).

18. Install the rocker arms, shaft and hydraulic compensators as an assembly (outlet side) (10).

19. Install the rocker arms and shaft assembly (inlet side) (9).

20. Install the cylinder head cover gasket (8).

21. Install the cylinder head cover (7).

22. Install the ignition coil (6).

23. Connect the ignition coil connector (5).

24. Connect the positive crankcase ventilation hose connection (4).

25. Connect the hose connection (3).

26. Install the sealing ring (2).

27. Install the oil level dipstick (1).

28. Install the thermostat housing.

29. Install the timing belt.

30. Install the engine cover.

Model with 6G7 engine



1. Install the left camshaft (21).



2. Install the right camshaft (20).

3. Install hydraulic compensators (19).

4. Install the valve rocker shaft (18).

5. Install valve rocker arm D (17).

6. Install the plunger lever (16).

7. Install valve rocker arm C (15).

8. Install the adjusting screw (14).

9. Install the nut (13).

10. Install the intake valve rocker arms (12).

11. Install the valve rocker shaft and valve rocker arms as an assembly (outlet side) (11).

12. Install the valve rocker shaft cover (10).

13. Install the valve rocker shaft and valve rocker arms as an assembly (inlet side) (9).

14. Install the valve rocker shaft cover (8).

15. Install the camshaft oil seal (7).

16. Install the oil seal (6).

17. Install the cylinder head cover gasket (5).

18. Install the right cylinder head cover (4).

19. Install the cylinder head cover gasket (3).

20. Install the left cylinder head cover (2).

21. Install the oil filler cap (1).

Model with 4M4 engine



1. Tighten the bolt (18).

2. Install the valve cover (17).

3. Tighten the lock nut (16).

4. Tighten the adjusting screw (15).

5. Install the long valve rocker arm (14).

6. Install the short valve rocker arm (13).

7. Install camshaft fastening No. 5 (5).

8. Install camshaft fastening No. 4 (4).

9. Install camshaft fastening No. 3 (3).

10. Install camshaft fastening No. 2 (2).

11. Install camshaft fastening No. 1 (1).

12. Install the exhaust camshaft (7).

13. Install the intake camshaft (6).

14. Install cover No. 5 of the camshaft (5).

15. Install cover No. 4 of the camshaft (4).

16. Install cover No. 3 of the camshaft (3).



17. Install camshaft cover No. 2 (2).

18. Install camshaft cover No. 1 (1).
