Model with 6V31 engine
1. Remove the intake manifold.
2. Remove the exhaust manifold.
3. Remove the timing belt.
4. Remove the thermostat housing.
5. Remove the generator.

6. Disconnect the hose connection (1).
7. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation hose connection (2).
8. Remove the oil dipstick (3).
9. Disconnect the ignition coil connector (4).
10. Remove the ignition coil (5).
11. Remove the cylinder head cover (6).
12. Remove the cylinder head cover gasket (7).
13. Remove the oil pipe (8).
14. Remove the gasket (9).
15. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector (10).
16. Remove the camshaft sprocket (11).
17. Remove the intermediate pulley (12).
18. Remove the rear timing belt cover (13).
19. Remove the left cylinder head (14).

1). Unscrew the bolts in two or three steps, in the order shown in the figure, and remove the cylinder head.
20. Remove the cylinder head gasket (15).
21. Disconnect the hose connection (16).
22. Disconnect the breather hose connection (17).
23. Disconnect the ignition coil connector (18).
24. Remove the ignition coil (19).
25. Remove the cylinder head cover (20).
26. Remove the cylinder head cover gasket (21).
27. Disconnect the engine check valve connector (22).
28. Disconnect the connector (23).
29. Disconnect the connector (24).
30. Remove the right cylinder head (25).
31. Remove the cylinder head gasket (26).
Model with 6G7 engine
1. Reduce the pressure in the fuel line.
2. Remove the lower support plate and engine crankcase guard.
3. Drain the engine oil.
4. Drain the coolant.
5. Remove the intake manifold.
6. Remove the ignition coil.
7. Remove the accessory drive belt.
8. Remove the front exhaust pipe.

9. Remove the breather hose (1).
10. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector (2).
11. Disconnect the engine lubrication control valve connector (3).
12. Disconnect the engine oil pressure sensor connector (4).
13. Remove the oil pipe (5).
14. Remove the gasket (6).
15. Remove the right cylinder head cover (7).
16. Remove the right cylinder head cover gasket (8).
17. Remove the right cylinder head (9).
1) Loosen the cylinder head bolts in 2 or 3 steps in the sequence shown in the figure, and then remove the cylinder head assembly.
Caution: When loosening the cylinder head bolts, be careful not to damage or deform the spark plug guide tubes, as they are not supplied separately.

18. Remove the cylinder head gasket (10).
19. Remove the coolant outlet pipe, water pump inlet pipe and cylinder head cooling pipe.
20. Remove the automatic transmission oil level measuring device (11).
21. Remove the sealing ring (12).
22. Remove the engine oil level measuring device (13).
23. Remove the sealing ring (14).
24. Remove the engine bracket (15).
25. Remove the left cylinder head cover (16).
26. Remove the left cylinder head cover gasket (17).
27. Remove the left cylinder head (18).
1). Loosen the cylinder head bolts in 2 or 3 steps in the sequence shown in the figure, and then remove the cylinder head assembly.
Caution: When loosening the cylinder head bolts, be careful not to damage or deform the spark plug guide tubes, as they are not supplied separately.
28. Remove the cylinder head gasket (19).
Model with 4M4 engine
Note: The operations for removing the cylinder head gasket on a vehicle with a 4M4 engine are similar to the operations for removing the cylinder head gasket on a vehicle with a 6G7 engine.
