Model with 4M4 engine
1. Remove the main and auxiliary batteries.
2. Remove the lower support plate and engine crankcase guard.
3. Drain the coolant.
4. Drain the oil from the engine.
5. Remove the engine cover.
6. Remove the air filter and air intake duct.
7. Remove the upper radiator shroud cover.
8. Remove the cooling fan and cooling fan clutch.
9. Remove the air conditioning compressor drive belt, alternator drive belt and crankshaft pulley.
10. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation cooler and the exhaust gas recirculation cooler bracket.
11. Remove the thermostat.
12. Remove the vacuum tube, heater return tube and thermostat housing.
13. Remove the throttle body assembly.
14. Remove the fuel injectors and fuel rail in the bore.
15. Remove the vacuum pump.
16. Remove the cylinder head and cylinder head gasket.
17. Remove the turbocharger assembly and exhaust manifold assembly.
18. Remove the air intake tube and intake manifold assembly.
19. Remove the camshaft assembly.
20. Remove the oil pan.
21. Remove the camshaft and crankshaft position sensors.
22. Remove the water pump.
23. Remove the power steering pump.
24. Remove the electrical wiring mounting bracket (1).
25. Remove the attachment drive chain cover (2).
26. Remove the electrical wiring clamp (3).
27. Remove the stiffening rib of the accessory drive chain casing (4).
28. Remove the crankshaft contact disk (5).
29. Remove the timing chain bracket (6).
30. Remove intermediate washer A (7).
31. Remove the oil spray nozzle (8).
32. Remove the spring pin (9).
33. Remove the intermediate washer (10).
34. Remove the camshaft sprocket (11).
35. Remove the timing chain (12).
Note: Apply timing marks to the camshaft sprockets and timing chain.
36. Remove the tensioner lever (13).
37. Remove the tensioner lever shaft assembly (14).
38. Remove the guide plate (15).
39.Remove the lower guide plate (16).
