Note: The installation operations for the 6V31, 4M4 or 6G7 engine are similar. Below is a description of the procedure using the 6G7 engine as an example.
1. Install the engine assembly (17).
Note: When installing the engine, carefully check that there are no pinched wires, hoses or wire connectors.
2. Install the engine support bracket (16).
3. Install the engine support limiter (15).
Note: Fix the engine support stopper according to the direction shown by the arrow in the figure.
4. Connect the heater hose connection (14).
5. Install the gearbox assembly.
6. Connect the high pressure fuel hose connection (13).
7. Install the air conditioner compressor bracket (12).
8. Install the gasket (11).
9. Install the engine oil cooler hose (10).
10. Install the compressor and air conditioner clutch assembly (9).
11. Install the power steering pump (8).
12. Install the battery wiring (7).
13. Install the control unit wiring (6).
14. Install the ground cable connections (5).
15. Install the flywheel clutch vacuum hose connection (4).
16. Install the vacuum hose connection (3).
17. Install the drive belt (2).
18. Install the engine cover (1).
19. Install the front exhaust pipe.
20. Install the radiator assembly.
21. Install the cooling fan and cooling fan clutch assembly.
22. Install the battery and battery tray.
23. Install the air filter assembly.
24. Fill the engine with coolant.
25. Fill the engine with oil.
26. Check the drive belt tension.
27. Install the lower support plate and engine crankcase guard.
28. Install the hood.
29. Check the fuel pressure in the fuel line.
