Model with 6V31 engine
1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Remove the lower and side engine protection.

3. Remove the timing belt automatic tensioner (1).
4. Remove the generator drive belt (2).
5. Remove the power steering pump drive belt tension pulley bracket (3).
6. Remove the power steering pump drive belt (4).
7. Remove the crankshaft pulley (5).
8. Remove the right upper timing belt cover (6).
9. Remove the left upper timing belt cover (7).
10. Remove the lower timing belt cover (8).
11. Remove the front engine mounting bracket.
12. Remove the engine mounting bracket (9).
13. Remove the front flange (10).
14. Remove the timing belt automatic tensioner (11).
1). Screw in the upper tensioner bolt.
2). Loosen the lower tension bolt of the auto tensioner and move the auto tensioner slightly. Remove the rod from the auto tensioner lever.
3). Unscrew the lower bolt of the auto tensioner and remove it.

15. Remove the timing belt (12).
Caution: Never turn the crankshaft counterclockwise.
1). Turn the crankshaft clockwise and set the piston of cylinder No. 1 to top dead center.
2). Place an arrow mark on the smooth surface of the timing belt if the belt is to be reused.
3). Loosen the central bolt of the tensioner pulley and then remove the timing belt.

16. Remove the tension pulley assembly (13).
Model with BG7 engine
1. Remove the lower support plate and engine crankcase guard.
2. Remove the battery and battery tray.
3. Remove the air filter assembly.
4. Remove the drive belt.
5. Remove the alternator assembly.

6. Remove the cooling fan and cooling fan clutch assembly (1).
7. Remove the cooling fan pulley (2).
8. Remove the drive belt tensioner (3).
9. Remove the mounting bracket (4).
10. Remove the power steering pump (5).
11. Remove the compressor and air conditioner clutch assembly (6).
12. Remove the air conditioning compressor bracket (7).
13. Remove the cooling fan bracket (8).
14. Remove the timing belt indicator bracket (9).
15. Remove the bracket (10).

16. Remove the front left upper timing belt cover (11).
17. Remove the front right upper timing belt cover (12).
18. Remove the crankshaft pulley (13).
1). Fix the crankshaft pulley using special tools MB991800 and MB991802.
2). Loosen the center bolt and remove the crankshaft pulley washer, and then remove the crankshaft pulley.

19. Remove the front lower timing belt cover (14).
20. Remove the tensioner pulley (15).
21. Remove the timing belt (16).
Caution: Do not turn the crankshaft counterclockwise.
1). Turn the crankshaft clockwise using the special tool MD998769 to align the marks on the timing belt and install cylinder No. 1 in the upper dead center.
2). Loosen the tensioner pulley mounting bolt, then remove the timing belt.
22. Remove the automatic tensioner (17).
23. Remove the timing belt tensioner lever (18).
24. Remove the intermediate timing belt pulley (19).
25. Remove the power steering pump bracket (20).
