Remove the upper camshaft drive belt cover.

Turn the crankshaft clockwise and set the piston of the 1st cylinder to TDC of the compression stroke, while the mark (A) on the camshaft pulley should be aligned with the pointer (B).



Remove the top engine cover

Loosen the camshaft drive tension roller mounting bolt and allow the tensioner spring to tighten the belt.

ATTENTION: Do not loosen the bolt more than half a turn.


Tighten the tension roller mounting bolt.

Install the engine cover and timing belt cover.
