COLT/LANCER release before 8.88



Removal



Remove the front turn signals, see item 24.2.



Loosen the bumper mounting bolts, located depending on the bumper version "arrows".



If necessary, remove the bumper support from the body.

Installation



With an assistant, insert the bumper and screw it to the supports.

Tighten the bolts on the left and right in the wheel arches and to the side rods.

Install direction indicators.

COLT/LANCER release since 9.88



Removal



Remove the mudguards from the front wheel wells, see item 20.6.



Disconnect the bumper from the left and right side rods "1".



Remove the air ducts from the bumper by loosening bolts "2".

Disconnect the decorative ventilation grille "3"

Loosen bolts "4" and "5" on both sides.

Remove 4 mounting bolts "6" on the side members.

With the help of an assistant, pull the bumper straight forward.

If necessary, remove gasket "8" and bumper support "9".



Note: If you need to disassemble the bumper, use pliers to squeeze the clamps from the inside and simultaneously press forward. When installing, insert the clamps until they click into place. If there is a glued decorative strip (molding), it can be removed and replaced separately. To do this, clean the surface under the strip with gasoline, remove the protective paper from the new strip and press it down.


Installation



With an assistant, insert the bumper and attach it to the supports.

Screw in the bolts and insert the decorative grille in the reverse order as described for removal.

Insert and secure the wheel arch liners into the wheel wells.
