The seat is mounted on two guide rails, along which it can also move.
Removal
Cars produced since 9.88: Fold up and remove the mounting bolt covers.
Cars produced before 8.88: Release the clamps and remove the trim from the door sill.
Loosen the 2 rear bolts and 2 front nuts on both guide rails (up to 8.88: bolts). Remove the seat. If present, disconnect the seat heating cable.
Installation
Place the seat and move it back to align the guide rails parallel. Then tighten the bolts to the floor in the sequence A, B, C, D with a tightening force of 40 Nm, see figure K-4885.
Insert and snap the pads into place.
