1 - ECON switch or coin compartment

Note: In some versions only the front part of the console is installed.


Removal



Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

Caution: This erases data in the electronic memory, such as the engine fault memory or the radio receiver code. Disconnect the battery only with the ignition switched off, otherwise the fuel injection device control unit may be damaged. Before disconnecting the battery, read the instructions in the "Radio receiver" and "Removing and installing the battery" sections.




If equipped, remove the electrically adjustable outside mirror switch and rear console trim.



In the same way, pull out the ECON switch (or the coin compartment in the same place), see "1" in Figure K-4864.

Pull console drawer "2" up.

Remove 4 screws securing the rear part of the console "4".

Unscrew the gear shift lever handle "5".

If installed, remove the heated seat switch panel "6" from the console and disconnect the cable connector from the rear.

Remove seat heating relay "7" from the console.

Remove the screws on the left, right and back sides and pull out the console

Installation



Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Connect the ground cable to the battery.

If they are available, set the time on the clock and enter the security code into the radio.
