Removal
DOHC Engine: Disconnect the air mass meter connector.
Gasoline engine: Disconnect the ventilation hose.
Loosen the clamps on the air duct and air intake hose.
Disconnect the resonator and remove it together with the air duct.
Disconnect the air inlet hose from the air filter.
Carburetor engine: Unscrew the wing nut of the air filter cover, release the latches and remove the cover, take out the air filter insert.
Unscrew 3 screws (nuts) and remove the air filter.
Cover the carburetor with a clean cloth.
Caution: Do not allow any parts to enter the carburetor as this may cause serious damage to the engine.
Installation
Carburetor engine
Check the sealing ring between the carburetor and the air filter, replace if necessary.
Check the integrity of the heating hose, replace if necessary.

Install the lower part of the air filter and tighten it to 20 Nm. Check that the gasket between the carburetor and the air filter is seated correctly.
Insert the air filter insert, put on the air filter cover and snap it into place, secure the cover with the wing nut.
All engines
Install the air filter and tighten to 10 Nm.
Connect the air inlet hose to the air duct and secure with a clamp.
Connect the ventilation hose.
DOHC Engine: Connect the air mass meter connector.
