Removal and installation
− Before you begin removing parts, perform the following operations:
- a) Remove the rear combination light.
- b) Remove the rear trunk trim.
- c) Remove the rear splash shield.
− The parts are removed in the order of the numbers indicated in the figures "Removing the rear bumper".
Removal the rear bumper (station wagon modifications from 05.2001). 1 - rivet, 2 - rear bumper assembly.
Removal the rear bumper (sedan). 1 - rear bumper mounting bracket, 2 - rear bumper assembly.
Removal the rear bumper (station wagon). 1 - rivet, 2 - rear bumper assembly.
− Installation of parts is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
- After completing the installation of the parts, perform the following operations:
- a) Install the rear splash guard.
- b) Install the rear trunk trim.
- c) Install the rear combination light.
Disassembly and assembly
− Before you begin removing parts, perform the following operations:
- a) Remove the rear bumper cover.
- b) Remove the rear bumper molding.
− The parts are removed in the order of the numbers indicated in the figure "Rear bumper disassembly".
Disassembling the rear bumper (station wagon). 1 - rivet, 2 - upper side stiffener of the rear bumper, 3 - stiffener of the rear bumper, 4 - muffler compartment cover, 5 - rear bumper.
Disassembling the rear bumper (station wagon modifications from 05.2001). 1 - rivet, 2 - upper side stiffener of the rear bumper, 3 - stiffener of the rear bumper, 4 - decorative trim of the rear bumper, 5 - rear bumper.
Disassembling the rear bumper (sedan). 1 - license plate mounting bracket, 2 - rear bumper stiffener (models with standard rear bumper), 3 - rear bumper stiffener (models with extended rear bumper), 4 - rivet, 5 - upper side stiffener of rear bumper, 6 - rear bumper.
− Installation of parts is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
- After completing the installation of the parts, perform the following operations:
a) Install the rear bumper molding.
b) Install the rear bumper cover.
