This chapter describes the parts from the rear of the engine to the front wheels, except for the transmission, which is described in previous chapter. For ease of description, these parts are divided into two groups: clutch and drive shafts. Separate sections of this chapter contain general descriptions and test procedures for both groups.
Since almost all of the procedures in this chapter involve working underneath the vehicle, make sure the vehicle is securely supported on a lift or winch that will allow the vehicle to be easily raised and lowered.
