Removal



1. Disconnect the negative battery cable (ground).

2. Completely unscrew the adjustment wheel to loosen the cable tension.

3. Remove the cotter pin from the clutch release lever, remove the axle and disconnect the cable housing from the bracket (see illustration).

4. Working under the instrument panel, disconnect the end of the cable from the top of the clutch pedal (see illustration).

5. Pull the cable through the engine side bulkhead. If the rubber washer is stuck in the bulkhead, use a screwdriver to remove it.



5.3. The clutch cable is attached to the clutch fork axle lever by an axle with a cotter pin, after which the cable casing and washer can be disconnected from the bracket




Installation and adjustment



6. When installing the cable, lightly lubricate its ends with universal grease. Install the cable in the reverse order, then adjust the free travel of the clutch pedal by following the procedure described in Chapter 1.
