Checking the flatness of the front brake discs and adjusting them (Mitsubishi L200 4)

1. Remove the brake assembly and secure it with wire.

2. Temporarily install the disc using the mounting nut.

3. Set the measuring device 5 mm from the edge of the brake disc and check it for flatness. The maximum vibration value is 0.06 mm.



4. If the disc vibration exceeds the limit value, adjust it as follows:

• mark the place on the disk and the pin where the value is exceeded;
• remove the disc and check the axial play of the wheel hub (there should be none);
• if there is play, disassemble the wheel hub and journal and check all parts;
• if there is no play, turn the disk (the marked place should not coincide with the marked pin), install it and check the plane again;
• if the vibrations cannot be corrected by turning the disk, grind it with a special device or replace it with a new one.
