- Check if there is fuel in the tank.
- Remove the fuel hose between the (mechanical) fuel pump and the carburetor and place a vessel of appropriate capacity underneath. Turn on the starter briefly, and fuel should flow out of the hose in pulses.
Warning: Fire hazard, do not light fire!
- If fuel is supplied, check the fuel level. If the float chamber is empty, check the float and float needle valve (work at a service station) and replace if necessary.
- If fuel is not supplied, check the fuel pump.
- If the fuel pump is OK, check the integrity and tightness of the hoses and tubes.
- If the hoses and tubes are in order, remove the fuel line from the tank and blow it out.
- Check the fuel tank ventilation device for patency and clean it.
