Removal and installation

- Before removing parts, pump out the refrigerant from the air conditioning system.

− Remove the parts in the order of the numbers shown in the figures "Removing the condenser (station wagon models up to 05.2001 and sedan up to 10.2001)", "Removing the condenser and condenser fan motor (station wagon models from 05.2001)" or "Removing the condenser fan motor (sedan models from 10.2001)".

Removal the condenser and condenser fan motor (station wagon models from 05.2001). 1 - Fan bracket, 2 - Condenser electric fan assembly, 3 - Fan, 4 - Fan electric motor, 5 - Fan cover, 6 - Fan diffuser, 7 - Condenser upper bracket, 8 - Low pressure hose connection, 9 - High pressure tube "A" connection, 10 - Condenser, 11 - Clamp, 12 - Receiver-dryer.

Removal the condenser (station wagon models up to 05.2001 and sedan up to 10.2001). 1 - low pressure hose connection, 2 - high pressure tube "A" connection, 3 - condenser, 4 - clamp, 5 - receiver-dryer.

Removal the condenser fan motor (sedan models from 10.2001). 1 - condenser electric fan assembly, 2 - fan, 3 - fan electric motor, 4 - fan diffuser.

- When removing parts, pay attention to the operations of disconnecting the low pressure hose and the high pressure pipe "A" of the air conditioning system.

Cap any disconnected condenser hoses, tubes and fittings to prevent moisture, dust and other contaminants from entering.

Caution: Hoses must be hermetically sealed, otherwise the compressor oil and receiver-dryer may become saturated with water vapor from the atmosphere. Do not use porous material to close tubes and fittings.

− Installation of parts is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

- After completing the installation of the parts, fill the system with refrigerant.

Checking the condenser fan motor Apply power (battery voltage) to terminals "1"(+) and "2"(-) and check that the condenser fan motor is running (the fan is rotating).

Station wagon models from 05.2001.
