Basic data for adjustments and control

Checking and adjusting the accelerator pedal cable

Turn off the air conditioner, exterior and interior lights of the car.

Check and adjust when there is no electrical load.

Warm up the engine until it idles smoothly.

Check that the crankshaft speed at idle mode corresponds to the nominal value.

Turn off the engine.

Check for sharp bends in the accelerator pedal cable.

Check that the free play of the accelerator pedal cable (the cable itself, not its sheath) is within the nominal range.

If the accelerator cable free play is not within the specified value, adjust it as follows.

Loosen the tightening bolts of the accelerator cable adjusting bar.

Move the adjusting bar and adjust the amount of free play of the accelerator cable, and then tighten the adjusting bar mounting bolts.

After adjustment, check that the throttle lever touches the stopper.

Removal and installation the accelerator pedal position sensor

The parts are removed in the order shown in the assembly drawing.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

After installing the parts, adjust the accelerator pedal cable.
