Installing the oil scraper ring



Install the ring expander and ring into the piston groove.



Installation of compression rings





Using special pliers, first install ring No.2, then ring No.1 (see Fig. M2 2.138).

Note: The rings have size and identification marks and must be installed on the piston with these marks facing up.




Identification mark:
  • compression ring #1 - 1R;
  • compression ring No.2 - 2R.

Size mark:
  • standard size - no label;
  • repair (0.50 mm) - 50;
  • repair (1.00 mm) - 100.
