After installing a new piston, it is necessary to measure the amount of its protrusion from the block and select a cylinder head gasket of the appropriate thickness. The procedure for measuring the piston protrusion and selecting a gasket is described above.

The assembly of the connecting rod and piston, as well as their installation in the cylinder, is carried out in accordance with the marks applied to them.
