To avoid damaging the cylinder bore, place plastic safety tubes (2) on the connecting rod bolts and remove the piston with the connecting rod from the cylinder.

Note: When removing the piston from the cylinder, be careful not to damage the oil jets installed in the cylinder block (see below).

Note: Lay out all removed parts (connecting rods, pistons, liners, etc.) according to their cylinder assignment to avoid confusion during assembly.

Note: After removing the connecting rod, it is necessary to check the connecting rod bolts for elongation. If you feel force when tightening, this indicates that the bolt has elongated and must be replaced.
