An additional transverse tie rod (Panhard rod), attached to the body and rear suspension, serves as a lateral support for the rear suspension. The suspension is cushioned by 2 spring struts.
Note: The illustration shows the rear suspension of front-wheel drive vehicles manufactured from August 1988 onwards. In previous models, there are differences in the mounting of the rear suspension. The shock absorbers and coil springs are mounted separately. In the LANCER Combi manufactured from September 1985 onwards, the design of the suspension body and trailing arms is similar to that of vehicles manufactured after September 1988.
