For radio reception, conventional whip antennas or roof antennas with an electronic amplifier can be used.
Removal
Remove the radio and disconnect the antenna cable.
To facilitate subsequent installation, tie the cord to the antenna cable. Unscrew the antenna "1".
Remove the threshold trim "2" and the side trims "3". Pull the antenna cable and guide tube upwards. Remove the clamps "5".
Installation
If available, attach the antenna ground cable to the body.
Secure the antenna and guide tube. Follow the manufacturer's instructions. The guide tube must be correctly positioned in the wheel cutout, otherwise rainwater may enter through it.
Pull the antenna cable using the tied cord and route it behind the dashboard.
Connect the antenna to the radio and check the reception.
Install the radio receiver and match the antenna, see item 24.2.
Install overlays and trims.
