Adjusting the gear selector cable





1 - neutral,
2 - gear shift lever,
3 - gear selection lever,
4 - gear selection cable.


Set the gearshift lever to neutral. At the same time, the gear selector lever closer to the gearbox is also set to neutral.



Remove the gear shift and selection levers in the passenger compartment; to do this, pull out the safety pin, Fig. K-3201.

Set the gear selector lever in the passenger compartment to neutral position.



Turn the turnbuckle until the end of the gear shift cable is opposite the gear shift lever in the passenger compartment, see figure.



Connect the gear shift cable and insert a new cotter pin.

Adjusting the gear shift cable



Leave the gear selector lever on the gearbox in neutral. Move the gear shift lever, as shown in the figure, to the right and thereby engage it in the 4th gear position.

Caution: If the lever moves with difficulty, press the clutch pedal.




Move the gear shift lever inside the car in the direction of the arrow and engage 4th gear.



Turn the turnbuckle until the end of the gear shift cable is opposite the gear shift lever in the passenger compartment, see figure.

Connect the gear shift cable and insert a new cotter pin.



Set the gear shift lever to the 3rd and 4th gear positions. Measure the gaps "A" and "B" between the lever and the stop accordingly. Turn the tension clutch to set the length of the gear shift cable so that both gaps are the same.



Engage all gears and make sure that the gearshift lever moves without difficulty.

Set the gear shift lever on the transmission to neutral position.
