If the engine can be started in positions other than "N" and "P", the starter lock switch must be adjusted.

Adjustment (release from 9.88 to 4.89)

Set the selector lever to position "N".

Loosen the 2 adjusting nuts of the engagement cable.

The original can be found on the website: MITSUBISHIMAN.ru

Set the manual shift lever to position "N".

Loosen the switch mounting bolts.

Rotate the starter lock switch housing so that the 12 mm thick end of the manual shift lever aligns with the flange of the switch housing (also 12 mm thick).

In this position, tighten both mounting bolts, making sure that the switch housing does not move.

Pull the cable slightly in direction "F".

Tighten the adjusting nut "A" until it touches the regulator. In this position, lock the nut "A".

Tighten nut "B" while holding nut "A". Check the tightness of both nuts.

Cars produced from 5.89 to 3.92

The adjustment is made in the same way. In place of two adjustment nuts, the cable is secured with one tightening nut. To adjust, loosen the nut and move the cable into the slots of the manual shift lever.
