1. When the wipers stop while the windshield wiper is operating, the windshield wiper motor may burn out due to ice or other obstacles on the glass, even if the windshield wiper is turned off. In this case, stop the car in a safe place, turn off the ignition and remove the obstacle from the glass to ensure free movement of the wipers.

2. Do not turn on the windshield wiper when the glass is dry. This may result in scratches on the glass and premature wear of the wiper blades.

Note: It is recommended to replace your wiper blades periodically as sand and other contaminants on them can cause scratches on the glass.

3. Before turning on the windshield wiper in cold weather, make sure that the blades are not frozen to the glass. Turning on the windshield wiper with the blades frozen to the glass can cause the windshield wiper motor to burn out.

4. If the washer does not work, do not try to turn it on again, check the washer pump.

5. Do not use the washer continuously for more than 20 seconds. Do not turn on the washer if there is no washer fluid in the reservoir, as this may cause the washer motor to burn out.

6. Check the fluid level in the washer reservoir periodically and add fluid if necessary. In cold weather, add the recommended solution to the fluid so that it does not freeze in the reservoir. Otherwise, the washers may fail due to damage to the system components by frozen fluid.

7. When using the washers in cold weather, the washer fluid supplied to the glass may freeze on it, which will impair visibility. In such weather, before using the washer, first turn on the glass heater.

Windshield wiper and washer

1. The windshield wiper and washer operate when the ignition switch is in the "ON" or "ACC" position.

2. To turn on or stop the windshield wiper, move the switch lever to one of the following positions:

▲ - "MIST" mode (turning on the windshield wiper for one stroke to remove fogging of the windshield);

O - Off (complete stop);

--- - Switching on the windshield wiper in intermittent mode (mode "INT");

| - Windscreen wiper on (continuous operation at low speed);

|| - Switching on the windshield wiper (continuous operation at high speed).

Note: Depending on the configuration, vehicles are equipped with 3 types of steering column switches.

3. On models with intermittent windshield wiper operation mode "INT" and constant interval of their operation, the interval of the windshield wiper operation is several seconds.

4. On models with intermittent wiper operation mode "INT" and adjustable interval operation "INT TIME", the interval of operation of the wipers can be adjusted by turning the control knob on the switch.

Note: When the vehicle is moving, the selected interval value and adjustment range will change depending on the vehicle speed (the higher the speed, the faster the wipers will operate).

5. To remove fog from the windshield during fog or light rain, pull the switch handle up until you feel resistance, then release it. If you hold the lever in this position, the windshield wiper will operate as long as you hold the lever.





6. To turn on the windshield washer, pull the switch lever as shown in the figure. Simultaneously with the operation of the washer, the windshield wiper is automatically turned on for several strokes of the brushes. When you release the switch lever, the washer is turned off.

Note: If the washer does not work, do not try to turn it on again, but check the washer pump and the presence of fluid in the washer reservoir.

Rear window wiper and washer

1. The rear window wiper and washer operate when the ignition switch is in the "ON" or "ACC" position.

2. To turn on the rear window wiper, turn the switch handle to one of the following positions:

- Turning on the rear window washer. After returning the switch to its original position, the rear window wiper will be turned on (for two or three strokes of the brushes).

--- - Switching on the windshield wiper in intermittent mode (8 second interval);

O - Off (complete stop) Note: To ensure good visibility through the rear window, the rear window wiper will change from intermittent to continuous operation when reverse gear is engaged.



3. To turn on the rear window washer, turn the switch handle in any direction until it stops. Simultaneously with the operation of the washer, the windshield wiper is automatically turned on (for two or three strokes of the brushes).
