Removal
Caution: Avoid impacts to the SRS electronic control unit during removal and installation of the CVT control triplex.
- Before starting the removal:
- a) Remove the battery and battery bracket.
- b) Remove the lower part of the center console (see chapter "Body").
− The parts are removed in the order of the numbers indicated in the figure "Automatic transmission control mechanism"
Automatic transmission control mechanism. 1 - automatic transmission control cable connection (from the selector side), 2 - automatic transmission control cable connection (from the variator side), 3 - automatic transmission control cable, 4 - ignition lock cable, 5 - automatic transmission selector lock cable, 6 - selector position indicator connector, 7 - automatic transmission selector assembly.
Installation
− Installation of parts is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
- After installation is complete:
- a) Install the lower part of the center console (see chapter "Body").
- b) Install the battery bracket and battery.
- Check the operation of the variator selector (see section "Checking the automatic transmission control system").
