Removal
Caution: Do not subject the SRS control unit to impact when removing and installing the selector lock cable and ignition lock cable.
− Before starting removal, remove the lower part of the center console (see chapter "Body").
− The parts are removed in the order of the numbers indicated in the figure "Ignition lock system and automatic transmission selector lock system".
Ignition lock system and automatic transmission selector lock system.1 - ignition lock cable connection (from the automatic transmission side), 2 - ignition lock cable connection (from the ignition switch side), 3 - automatic transmission selector lock cable, 4 - selector lock cable connection (from the automatic transmission side), 5 - selector lock cable connection (from the brake pedal side), 6 - ignition lock cable, 7 - ETACS electronic control unit, 8 - brake pedal.
Note:
- − Before removing the ETACS electronic control unit, remove the CVT selector lever "R" position warning buzzer.
- - If there is no need, it is not necessary to remove the brake pedal.
Installation
− Installation of parts is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
− After completing the installation of the parts, install the lower part of the center console (see chapter "Body").
- Check the operation of the variator selector (see section "Checking the automatic transmission control system").
