Pull strap A to remove the right side of the luggage compartment floor.
Remove the jack.
Storing a jack in a car
Fold the jack and put it in the storage area. Lower the luggage compartment floor into place.
Lifting a car with a jack
Place the vehicle on a level and stable surface.
Turn on the hazard warning lights and turn the ignition key to the "LOCK" position.
Apply the parking brake, make sure it is securely locked, and move the gear shift lever to the neutral position "M" (Neutral position).
Place a brake chock or block A under the wheel diagonally opposite the wheel B to be replaced.
Warning! Before installing the jack, make sure that a brake shoe or a stop block is placed under the wheel. If the car moves while it is being raised, the jack may jump out from under the body and this may lead to an accident.
Note: The brake shoe shown in the picture is not included with the vehicle. It is recommended to purchase it separately for use when needed.
If you don't have a brake chock, place a rock or other suitable sized object under the wheel to hold the wheel in place.
Place the jack under one of the support points C shown in the illustration. Use the support point closest to the wheel being replaced.
Warning! Do not install the jack in any position other than those specified in the operating instructions. Installing the jack in the wrong position can damage the vehicle body, and an incorrectly installed jack may tip over, which may result in injury.
Warning! Do not use the jack on a sloping or unstable (loose) surface. Otherwise, the jack may tilt or sink into the ground, causing the vehicle to fall. Always place the jack on a flat, hard surface. Before placing the jack, make sure there is no sand or (pebbles) stones underneath it.
Rotate the jack shaft by hand and lift it until the sill flange D fits into the slot in the jack shoe.
Insert the tire iron E into the lug wrench F. Then insert the curved end of the tire iron into the hole on the jack shaft as shown in the figure. Raise the vehicle by slowly turning the lug wrench until the tire is slightly off the ground.
Warning! Raise the car so that the tire is only slightly off the ground. Raising the car higher is dangerous.
Warning! Never stand under a vehicle when it is jacked up. Do not rock or push a vehicle that is jacked up, or leave it in that position longer than necessary. It is dangerous.
Warning! Do not start the engine or leave it running when the car is raised with a jack. Otherwise, the car may move and the jack may slip out from under the body.
Attention! Do not turn the jacked up wheels, otherwise the remaining wheels resting on the ground may turn, which will cause the car to jump off the jack.
Attention! When jacking up the vehicle, no one should be in it.
