"P" - Parking

In this position, the gearbox is locked to prevent the vehicle from moving when parked. In this position, the vehicle engine can be started.

"R" - Reverse

Move the selector lever to the "R" position only after the vehicle has come to a complete stop.

Warning! Do not move the selector lever to the "P" or "R" position while the vehicle is moving. If the selector lever is in the "P" or "R" position while the vehicle is moving, this may cause damage to the gearbox.

"N" - Neutral position

In this position of the selector the automatic transmission is disengaged, the "N" position is similar to the neutral position of the manual gear lever, it should be used during long stops during the trip, for example, when stuck in a traffic jam.

Warning! Do not shift the selector lever to the "N" position while the vehicle is moving. This increases the risk of an accident due to the selector lever being inadvertently shifted to the "P" or "R" position, and it is not possible to perform engine braking.

When parked on a slope, the engine should be started with the selector lever in the "P" (Park) position, not the "N" (Neutral) position.

To minimise the risk of losing control of the vehicle, always keep your right foot on the brake pedal when the selector lever is in the 'N' (Neutral) position or when shifting into this position.

"D" - "Movement"

This position of the automatic transmission selector lever is the main one when driving in the city, on the motorway, starting from moving off until reaching maximum speed. If necessary, depending on the driving mode, engine braking is automatically activated.

Manual gear shift mode (Sports Mode)

Whether the vehicle is moving or stationary, manual gear shifting is accomplished by moving the automatic transmission selector lever from the "D" ("Drive" position, the main gear) to the manual gear selection slot. To return to the "D" ("Drive" mode), move the selector back to the main slot B.

In manual mode, gear shifting is possible by quickly moving the selector back or forward. Unlike a manual transmission, manual mode ("Sports Mode") allows gear shifting while the accelerator pedal is pressed.

"+" (UP): Move the selector forward once, this will engage the upshift.

"-" (DOWN): Move the selector backwards once, this will engage a lower gear.

Attention! In manual mode, there is no automatic upshift. The driver must engage the upshift according to road conditions and ensure that the engine speed does not exceed the maximum permissible value (the tachometer needle must be below the red zone).

A quick double movement of the selector lever backwards (DOWN) allows you to skip one gear when shifting, i.e. to go from 3rd to 1st gear, or from 4th to 2nd. Since sharp engine braking and/or rapid acceleration can cause the wheel to lose traction, downshifting should be done carefully, in accordance with the speed of the car.

Note: In manual mode, only one of the five forward gears can be selected. To reverse the vehicle or park, move the selector to the "R" (Reverse) or "P" (Park) position, respectively.

To ensure the required vehicle dynamics and safety, the system may not perform some upshifts when the selector is moved to the "+" (up) position, such as upshifts when the vehicle is moving at low speeds. Also, to prevent the engine speed from exceeding the maximum permissible value, the system may not perform some gear shifts when the selector is moved to the "-" (down) position at some driving speeds.

In manual mode, when the vehicle speed decreases, the gear shifts to lower gears automatically. When the vehicle stops, the 1st gear is automatically engaged.

When starting off on a slippery road, move the automatic transmission selector forward to the "+" (up) position, which engages 2nd gear, making starting off on a slippery road easier. Moving the selector to the "–" (down) position shifts to 1st gear.

Move the selector smoothly and without excessive force between the slots (main and manual shift mode), as well as between the positions in the slot of the manual gear shift mode. Significant forces applied to the selector lever may lead to its breakage.
