For topping up, even in warm weather, use a mixture of antifreeze and lime-free water.
Note: To continue the journey, you can, especially in summer, add clean water. Then add antifreeze as quickly as possible.

- When the engine is cold (coolant temperature is about 20°C), the coolant level in the expansion tank should be between the FULL and LOW marks.
- When the coolant level on a cold engine approaches the LOW mark, add coolant.
- To prevent damage, add cold coolant only to a cold engine.

Caution: Only open the expansion tank cap, never open the radiator cap when the engine is hot. Risk of scalding! Place a cloth around the cap when opening. If possible, open the cap at temperatures below 90°C.
- Conduct an external inspection and search for leaks if the fluid level drops quickly.
