The following replacement parts must be purchased:
- Air filter. When purchasing, check the air filter for engine power.
Removal
Carburetor engine
- Give back the wing nut.
- Unfasten the clamping brackets.
- Remove the lid and take out the air.
- Check if the air filter is dirty or clogged. Knock out the dust or blow out the air filter with compressed air.
- If heavily soiled, replace the air filter.
Installation
- Wipe the air filter housing with a clean cloth.
- Insert a new air filter into the housing.
- Place the lid on and secure it with clamps or a screw.
1.5L engine with fuel injection device
Engine 1.6 / 1.8 l (16-valve) with fuel injection device
- Disconnect the air mass meter connector.
- Disconnect the ventilation hose.
- Unscrew the resonator and remove the underwater air hose together with the resonator.
- Unfasten the fastening brackets and remove the air filter cover. Caution: Do not drop the cover, otherwise you may damage the air mass meter.
- F Remove the air filter and clean or replace it.
Installation
- Wipe the air filter housing with a clean cloth.
- Insert a new air filter into the housing.
- Place the lid on and secure it with clamps or a screw.
- Place the underwater air hose with the resonator. Screw the resonator. Put the air hose on the inlet pipe and secure with a clamp.
- Connect the ventilation hose.
- Connect the air mass meter connector.
Diesel engine
- Release the clamps and remove the air filter cover.
- Remove the air filter and clean or replace.
Installation
- Wipe the air filter housing with a clean cloth.
- Insert a new air filter into the housing.
- Place the lid on and secure it with clamps or a screw.
