The following replacement parts must be purchased:
- Air filter. When buying, check the compliance of the air filter with engine power.
Removing
Carbureted engine
- Give away the wing nut.
- Unfasten the clamps.
- Remove the cover and pull out the air.
- Check if the air filter is dirty or clogged. Knock out dust or blow out the air filter with compressed air.
- If heavily soiled, replace the air filter.
Installation
- Wipe the air filter housing with a clean cloth.
- Insert a new air filter into the housing.
- Place the cover on and fasten it with clips or a screw.
1.5L engine with fuel injection device
Engine 1.6 / 1.8 l (16 valve) with fuel injection device
- Disconnect the air mass meter connector.
- Disconnect the ventilation hose.
- Unscrew the resonator and remove the underwater air hose together with the resonator.
- Swing out the mounting brackets and remove the air filter cover. Caution: Do not drop the cover, otherwise the air mass meter may be damaged.
- F Remove the air filter and clean or replace.
Installation
- Wipe the air filter housing with a clean cloth.
- Insert a new air filter into the housing.
- Place the cover on and fasten it with clips or a screw.
- Put the underwater air hose resonator. Screw on the resonator. Attach the air hose to the intake pipe and secure with a clamp.
- Connect ventilation hose.
- Connect the air mass meter connector.
Diesel engine
- Loosen the clamps and remove the air filter cover.
- Remove air filter and clean or replace.
Installation
- Wipe the air filter housing with a clean cloth.
- Insert a new air filter into the housing.
- Place the cover on and fasten it with clips or a screw.
