- Disconnect the lambda probe connector.
Connect the ohmmeter as shown in the figure and ring the ground wire. The figures show a 1.5 liter engine. Connector "B" is used on cars manufactured before 5.90, connector "C" is used on cars manufactured from 6.90.
- Put on the connector.
- Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature. The coolant temperature should be between 80° and 90°C.
- Disconnect the lambda probe connector.
- Connect the voltmeter to contact 1 of the connector and to ground.
- Start the engine again and measure the output voltage of the lambda probe. The required value is about 1 V.
