Raise the car.
- Check the reliability of the fastening of brackets and clamps.
- Inspect the muffler with a carrier for burnouts, rusty areas, and abrasions.
- Replace badly dented muffler pipes.
- Rotate and stretch the rubber suspensions to ensure that they are not porous; if so, replace them.
- Lower the car, see item 29.
- Vehicles with a catalytic converter: Check the electrical connection and secure fastening of the lambda probe.
