Checking the V-belt
No special tool required. Necessary replacement parts:
- 1 V-belt. Belt length depends on engine type. Consider when purchasing.
Low tension of the V-belt leads to its rapid wear or failure. If the tension is too high, the bearings of the corresponding units may fail.
- The V-belt must be replaced if it has: increased wear, frayed sidewalls, traces of oil, porosity, transverse cracks and tears.
- Check the tension of the V-belt, replace and tighten, see p. 1.21.
Caution: Check the tension of the newly installed V-belt again after 10 minutes of operation.

Replacing the timing belt
If the work is done poorly, serious damage to the engine may occur. Therefore, it is necessary to strictly follow the methodological instructions. Replacing the toothed belt is described in the "Engine" section.
