Oil leaks may occur in the following places:

• The connection point between the engine block and the gearbox (flywheel seal / gearbox shaft seal).
• The junction of both halves of the gearbox housing.
• Oil filler and oil drain plugs.
• Drive shaft at the junction with the gearbox.

When searching for leaks, proceed as follows:

• Clean the gearbox housing with cold cleaner.
• Check the oil level and top up if necessary.
• Sprinkle chalk or talc on the joints and gaskets on the engine.
• Make a test drive. Since the oil on a hot engine liquefies and appears faster at the leak site, the test drive should be done on a highway for at least 30 km.
• Then lift the car and inspect the gearbox with a carrier.
• Fix the leak immediately.
