Checking the coolant level (Mitsubishi Colt 4)

Check the coolant level at regular intervals, approximately every 4 weeks. To top up, use a mixture of antifreeze and lime-free water.

When the engine is cold (coolant temperature is about 20°C), the coolant level in the expansion tank should be between the FULL and LOW marks.

If the coolant level is close to the LOW mark when the engine is cold, add coolant.

Add cold coolant only to a cold engine to avoid damage.

If the fluid level drops noticeably, perform an external inspection and find leaks.
