Air pressure sensor — check (Mitsubishi Lancer 3)
The air pressure sensor is located on the air mass meter. If engine performance deteriorates at high altitudes (starting from about 1000 m above sea level), you can confidently conclude that the sensor is defective. If the air filter is clogged, then when driving at high speeds, the sensor can transmit distorted information to the control unit.
