Removing
Remove the gearbox see point 12.1.
Pull back the retaining spring and remove the release bearing.
Examination
Compress and turn the release bearing at the same time. If the bearing turns unevenly, replace it.
Attention: The bearing has a long-term lubrication and should not be cleaned or lubricated.
If the contact points with the release fork are excessively worn, replace the bearing.
Installation
Fill the groove for the release bearing with MoS grease2. In workshops, the original MITSUBISHI No. ET 0101011.
Apply MoS lubricant2 on the contact surfaces of the release fork. In workshops, MITSUBISHI No ET 0101011 grease is used for this.
Insert and lock the release bearing with a retaining spring.
Install the gearbox see point 12.1.
