1. The condition of the body is a very important factor in determining the value of the car. A neglected or damaged body is much more difficult to repair than mechanical components. Hidden body cavities such as wheel arches, frame and engine compartment should also be inspected, although they do not require as frequent attention as other parts of the body.

2. Once a year or every 20,000 km, clean the underbody with a steam cleaner. After removing dirt and oil, carefully check the condition of the brake pipes, electrical wires, cables, etc. After that, lubricate the front suspension parts

3. Clean the engine and engine compartment at the same time with steam or cleaning solution.

4. Pay special attention to the wheel arches, as the protective coating applied to them is knocked off by stones thrown up by the tires, which leads to corrosion. If corrosion is found, clean the surface down to the metal and apply an anti-corrosion coating.

5. The body should be washed about once a week. Wet the entire body to soften the dirt, then wash it off with a soft sponge and clean soapy water. If you remove dirt carelessly, you can damage the paintwork.

6. Bitumen stains should be removed with a cloth soaked in bitumen stain remover.

7. Wax the body and chrome parts every six months. When using chrome cleaner, remember that it will also remove chrome, so apply it in spots.
