Traction control system (tracking control)
Some models may be equipped with a traction control system (TCL), which allows you to start off more confidently, accelerate on slippery road surfaces, and also provides sufficient traction when turning at high speed. The system automatically limits the engine power as soon as one of the drive wheels loses traction and begins to slip. You can feel the activation of the traction control system by the steering wheel reaction.
The TCL system switch is located on the vehicle's instrument panel, to the left of the steering column; when the system is turned on, the TCL indicator lamp built into the instrument cluster lights up.

The system is equipped with a self-diagnostic device that ensures that the TCL-OFF indicator lamp is triggered in the event of a failure - the lamp starts to light continuously or flash. In such a situation, you should park the car in a safe place and turn off the engine. If the indicator lamp does not go out after restarting the engine, the car should be driven to a Mitsubishi service station to determine the cause of the failure.
Note: When starting the engine, a clicking sound may be heard in the engine compartment due to the TCL check system being activated.
It should be noted that when driving out of mud or loose snow, the anti-slip system may fail to increase engine speed when the gas pedal is depressed. TCL is switched off again using the TCL switch - the TCL-OFF indicator light on the instrument panel will light up.
Note: TCL is activated automatically when the engine is started.
