Front-wheel drive models

To avoid deformation of the bumper, the vehicles discussed in this Manual should not be towed using a tow truck equipped with a cable extension - try to call a tow truck that ensures that the wheels of one axle are off the ground, or one equipped with a cargo platform.

Models equipped with a manual transmission can be towed front-to-back, provided that the transmission is not damaged and is in neutral. The steering wheel must be locked in a straight-ahead position using a special towing lock.

The steering column lock built into the ignition switch is not capable of providing sufficient force to hold the front wheels in a straight position while the vehicle is being towed!.

Models equipped with AT may be towed with the front wheels off the ground only at speeds not exceeding 50 km/h (30 mph) and for distances not exceeding 30 km (18 miles). If these conditions cannot be met due to any special circumstances, the vehicle must be towed with the front wheels off the ground.

All-wheel drive models

There are only two options for towing all-wheel drive (AWD) models: without lifting the wheels off the ground, or with them completely lifted off the ground. Failure to do so may result in failure of the viscous clutch.
