Your vehicle can be towed by another vehicle using a cable or a special towing vehicle (tractor). The rules for towing vehicles in different countries may differ, so it is recommended to follow the rules of the country you are in.

Towing with a rope

  • 1. The towing eyes (A) are located in the positions shown in the illustrations. Attach the towing rope only to the towing eyes (A).

Warnings

(1) Never attach the towing rope to the eyes (B). Using any location other than the eyes (A) may cause damage to the vehicle body.

(2) When towing a vehicle, choose level roads without hills, as if the cable breaks, the body may be damaged.

(3) Do not attempt to pull a stuck vehicle out of a ditch, as this will prevent the towing rope from being horizontal.

  • 2. Turn the key in the ignition switch to the ACC or ON position.
  • 3. Turn on the hazard warning lights.
  • 4. Set the gear shift lever to neutral position.
  • 5. During towing, reliable communication between the drivers of both vehicles must be ensured, and the movement must take place at a low speed. Avoid abrupt starting and abrupt braking, which will cause the vehicles to jerk and may collide.

Towing a car with a tow truck (tractor)

When towing a vehicle with a tow truck (tractor), lift the front wheels of the vehicle so that they do not touch the road.
