Note: To check if fuel is being supplied to the injectors if the engine is difficult to start, loosen the union nuts on two injectors and start the engine without preheating until fuel comes out at the union nuts. Tighten the union nuts and start the engine normally.
Caution: If there is no fuel supply, the air must be removed from the system.
Fill the high-pressure fuel pump with diesel fuel.
Fill the fuel filter with diesel fuel.
Tow the car.
These measures ensure rapid removal of air.
When working with the injection system, maintain cleanliness, see p. 6.2.
In addition, care should be taken to ensure that diesel fuel does not come into contact with the coolant hoses. If this happens, the hoses should be cleaned immediately. Damaged hoses should be replaced.
