Removal and installation



− Before you begin removing parts, perform the following operations:
  • a) Remove the high brake light assembly.
  • b) Remove the rear door trim.

− The parts are removed in the order of the numbers indicated in the figure "Removing the rear door glass".



Removal the rear door glass. 1 - Rear door glass heater wiring harness connector, 2 - Rear door glass, 3 - Rear door glass stopper, 4 - Two-way retainer, 5 - Rear door glass lower molding, 6 - Rear door glass side molding.

- When removing parts, pay attention to the operation of removing the rear door glass.

Removing the rear door glass is done in the same way as removing the windshield.

− Installation of parts is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

- When installing the parts, pay attention to the installation operation of the stopper, two-way retainer, lower and side moldings and rear door glass.

a) Clean (degrease) the surfaces of the rear door glass and the rear door flanging with isopropyl alcohol in the places where the rear door glass moldings, two-way fasteners and glass stoppers are installed.



b) Install the rear door glass moldings as shown in the illustration "Installing the rear door glass moldings".

c) Connect the two-way fasteners to the protrusions on the rear door flanging.



d) Install the two-way fasteners and stoppers on the rear door glass so that their location matches the location of the two-way fasteners and stoppers installed on the body flanging.

d) Using a sponge, apply primer to the areas indicated in the figure "Removing the rear door glass".

e) Install the rear door glass in the same way as the windshield.

- After completing the installation of the parts, perform the following operations:
  • a) Install the rear door trim.
  • b) Install the high brake light assembly.
