Removal and installation
− Before you begin removing parts, perform the following operations:
- a) Remove the rear pillar trim.
- b) Remove the rear window wiper motor.
- c) Remove the rear shelf trim.
- d) Remove the additional brake light.
- d) Remove the roof drainage molding.
− The parts are removed in the order of the numbers indicated in the figure "Removing the rear window".

- When removing parts, pay attention to the following operations:
1. Removing the lower rear window molding.
Using a special tool, lift up the lower molding.
Caution: It is not permitted to reinstall the rear window lower molding if it was damaged during removal.
2. Removing the rear window.
The operation for removing the rear window is similar to the operation for removing the windshield.
− Installation of parts is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
- When installing the parts, pay attention to the installation operation of the rear window, rear window upper molding, rear window trim and stoppers.
a) When replacing the rear window, temporarily place it against the body opening and apply alignment marks to the window and body.
b) Clean (degrease) the edge on the inside of the rear window and the flanging of the body opening with isopropyl alcohol.
c) Wet the sponge in the primer and apply the primer in an even layer to the glass and the body opening in the places indicated in the figure "Removing the rear window".
d) After applying the primer, dry the surface for 3 - 30 minutes.
Attention:
- - The primer strengthens the adhesive joint, so it is necessary to apply it evenly in a thin layer around the entire perimeter. However, keep in mind that too thick a layer of primer will weaken the adhesive joint.
- - Do not touch primed surfaces.
d) Install the glass trim and make sure that the trim fits tightly to the inner surface of the glass and that there are no bends. Install the stopper and the glass trim on the rear glass as shown in the figure "Location of the rear glass fasteners and trims".

e) Install the upper molding onto the rear window.
g) Within 30 minutes of applying the primer, fill the sealant gun container with glue and apply a layer of glue evenly around the entire perimeter of the glass.
Note: To make it easier to apply the glue, cut the tip of the tube into a "V" shape.
h) After applying the glue, align the installation marks on the glass and the body opening (lightly press the glass evenly along the entire perimeter for complete adhesion).
i) Remove excess squeezed out adhesive with a spatula and wipe the surface with isopropyl alcohol.
k) After completing this operation (after installing the rear window), try not to move the car until the glue has hardened.
l) After attaching the rear window to the vehicle body, wait 30 minutes or more and then test the adhesive bond for leaks.
Attention:
- Do not move the car from its place unless absolutely necessary. If it is necessary to move the car from its place, then this should be done carefully.
- When checking the tightness of the adhesive joint, do not squeeze the hose tip to create a strong stream of water.
