Checking the fluid level in the power steering reservoir (Mitsubishi Lancer 9)

1. Place the car on a level horizontal surface, start the engine and turn the steering wheel a few times until the working fluid temperature rises to approximately 50 - 60°C.

2. With the engine running, turn the steering wheel several times to the right and left until it stops.

3. Check for cloudiness or foaming of the fluid in the booster hydraulic system reservoir.

4. Check the difference in fluid levels in the power steering fluid reservoir with the engine running and not running.

Note: If the fluid level changes significantly, it is necessary to bleed air from the power steering hydraulic system.

5. When checking the fluid level in the tank, use the marks on its walls. The fluid level should be between the "MAX" and "MIN" lines.

Recommended working fluid - ATF "DEXRONII"

Caution: Do not use DiaQueen ATF-SP or equivalent fluid.
