Pic. 16.10. Checking the fluid pressure sensor in the hydraulic drive of the power steering
2. Bleed the power steering hydraulic drive, then start the engine and turn the steering wheel several times so that the fluid temperature rises to 50-60°C.
3. Start the engine and let it idle.
4. Disconnect the connector from the pressure sensor and connect an ohmmeter to the connector.
5. Slowly closing the pressure gauge shut-off valve and increasing the operating pressure, check the sensor response pressure.
Rated pressure: 1.8-2.4 MPa
6. Slowly open the shut-off valve and reduce the operating pressure, then check the low pressure setting of the transmitter.
Rated pressure: 1.0 - 2.4 MPa
7. Remove the special tools and connect the pressure hose to the pump by tightening the hose union nut to the required torque.
Tightening torque: 17 Nm
8. Remove air from a hydraulic drive of the amplifier of a steering.
